Jan Christensen's Profile and Contact Information

Jan is a highly experienced insurance professional with over 42 years of property and casualty insurance across a myriad of roles in the industry including underwriting, products, policy services, risk management, customer service, marketing and sales. He began his insurance career in 1976 with North Pacific Insurance Company (now Liberty Mutual) in marketing and quickly expanded into underwriting of commercial lines, personal lines, bonds, workers compensation and actuarial work. In September of 1984, he jumped to the agency side of the industry when he purchased Gem Insurance which he has grown and expanded to Christensen & Associates’ current status. Jan believes in building and leveraging relationships to dissolve barriers and provide the best outcome to his clients/customers. He also strives to continually improve by participating in insurance and non-insurance work, leadership development and local community involvement. Due in large part to his extensive experience in the industry, Jan has been called on as an expert witness for the insurance industry for 34 years. 

Jan holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and management from the College of Idaho. Outside of work you can find Jan on the ski hill, at the golf course, playing tennis, paddle boarding, cruising the greenbelt on his bike or working in the yard.
