The Richard G. Cortez Jalapeño Open is always one of the highlights of our year, and a little rain certainly wasn't going to dampen the spirit of the day. From the first tee shot to the final scorecard, the tournament once again delivered everything that makes it such a special event—great golf, great food, plenty of laughs, and an even greater cause.
Hosted in support of the Idaho Hispanic Business Association (HBA), the Jalapeño Open helps raise scholarship funds for Hispanic students throughout Idaho, providing opportunities for future leaders to pursue higher education and achieve their goals. The proceeds from the tournament directly support the Richard G. Cortez Scholarship Program, which has positively impacted countless students and families across our community.
We are proud to be longtime supporters of this incredible event and grateful for the opportunity to participate alongside so many businesses and community partners who share a commitment to investing in the next generation. A special thank you goes to our client, Metalcraft, Inc., and the dedicated Jalapeño Open committee for the tremendous work they put into organizing the tournament year after year. Their efforts continue to make a lasting difference in the lives of Idaho students and help advance the HBA's mission of supporting Hispanic youth through education and mentoring.
Events like the Jalapeño Open are a powerful reminder that community involvement extends far beyond the workplace. When local businesses, volunteers, sponsors, and participants come together around a meaningful cause, the impact reaches well beyond a single day on the golf course. Every sponsorship, donation, and registration helps create educational opportunities that can change lives for years to come.

We would like to thank everyone who sponsored, volunteered, donated, and participated in this year's tournament. Your support helps strengthen our community and invest in the future success of Idaho's students.
And as an added bonus, after a day of battling both the course and the weather, luck was on our side—we played well enough to bring home the win this year! While we're proud of the trophy, we're even more proud to be part of an event that continues to make such a meaningful impact in our community.
We’re already looking forward to next year's Jalapeño Open. Until then, thank you to everyone who helped make this year's tournament another memorable success.
